Both Salton Sea and Hell's Loop have been run nearly every year since 2011. Our events are the second longest running extreme endurance road races in North America.”
Thus, the American rider Alan Spears (Cedar Glem, California) wishes to make his world more known, where his passion for motorcycling lasts a lifetime. Alan, a racing expert for decades, proudly maintains all his professional national and international driving licenses, obtained since the mid-1960s (AMA-American Motorcycle Association, FIM-Federation Internationale Motocicliste, ACA-American Cycle Association, National Competition Licence, and so on).

“Our race program started in 2010 with a Kymco S9 2t liquid-cooled 49cc scooter that has evolved into a highly sophisticated 70cc Malossi kitted x-treme endurance racer that has garnered many 1st in Class wins in Motor-Scooter International 400-mile x-treme endurance competition. Jeff"Robot" Corsaro (VespaMotorsport, San Diego, CA) was instrumental in the development of this racer.
Our Gilera also evolved into a highly competitive x-treme endurance racer. In addition to its competitiveness in 400-mile races, in 2013, with the extraordinary race support of Team Laurito Racing, we competed in The Real Cannonball ~ World's Most X-Treme Motor-Scooter Endurance Race, Manhattan, New York to Redondo Beach, California. A defective Leo Vince pipe and Malossi drive belt eventually put us out of the race near Needles, CA.”

“On November 11th 2018, Veteran's Day, we established a first race record in the Salton Sea 660-Mile X-Treme Endurance Race, winning 1st Place Overall, and 1st Place in the Lightweight Class (49cc to 299cc), finishing in 12 hours, 15 minutes despite minor mechanical issues. Average speed: 86.70 kmh / 53.87 mph. Pre-Mix Oil: Maxima Super ‘M’. Plug: E3 E-31. The genesis of our race program has taken a quantum leap into the realm of a custom hand-made one off ‘works’ Lambretta. We have dubbed it the Broadhurst~North Lambretta 2t 250cc A/C 5-Speed Works Racer. Details regarding the engine will remain proprietary for the time being, but dynomometer readings are in the upper 30 horsepower range! We're VERY excited.”
