July 2024 (G.T.) – A group of scouts set off on a voyage across Europe from 22 to 29 July, travelling from Milan to Stavanger, Norway, in the saddle of a series of fiery red Vespa scooters: 2,668 km, 139 hours “on the road to solidarity”, as the strapline of the initiative reads.

The story of a fantastic adventure. On the website LaFrecciaRossa.net, it says: "In the summer of 2024, Scouts and Guides from all over Europe will converge on Norway for Roverway 2024. This edition's motto, ‘North of the Ordinary’, will push participants ‘beyond the ordinary’, into untouched, unusual environments and outside their comfort zone in stimulating, positive ways. The event is due to run from 22 July, with the first part divided into international patrols and the second (28 July - 1 Aug) taking place at the fixed camp in the Stavanger region, for a few days of joint activities.” The route: lafrecciarossa.net/percorso

Once upon a time 75 years ago. "The Scandinavian meeting is set to fall precisely 75 years after the first World Rover Moot was held in the wake of World War II in Skjåk, also in Norway. In 1949, a number of Italian ASCI Scouts made their way to Norway, a feat that went down in the history of Italian scouting: the Freccia Rossa della bontà (The Red Arrow of goodness). Departing from Milan in the saddle of 25 Guzzini 65cc scooters provided by Moto Guzzi for the event, they travelled along the roads of a war-ravaged Europe with a view to drawing the attention of institutions and the public to the issue of children who had been injured, maimed and orphaned in the course of the conflict…” (source: lafrecciarossa.net).
