SURPRISE: AN APRILIA RSV4 AT THE 2022 LE MANS “24 HOURS MOTO”, SUPERSTOCK CATEGORY

19 April 2022 – The important thing is to participate. So, fully embracing the spirit of de Coubertin, a fearless Aprilia RSV4 on the French Le Mans 2 Roues team tackled the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race (45th edition) in France in the Superstock category, with respectable placings (15th in class and 23rd overall). Three riders were on the starting grid: Italian Alex Bernardi (on his first 24h, enthusiastic and aggressive), Emmanuel Parisse, and Marco Boué, with various changes throughout the race.

And it was a participation that certainly did not go unnoticed, partly because it is the first time any Supertwins like Aprilia were registered in the EWC-Superstock (from the time the category was created in 2016, this is the first time it has been represented in the race), bringing a “European touch” to the competition, which is usually dominated by Japanese brands.

The 2022 Moto edition was held on the Bugatti circuit (4,185 km) in Le Mans during the weekend of 15 and 16 April, kicking off the endurance world championship season and recording a huge participation of teams and riders, as well as a large audience attracted by the performance on the track, the village, concerts, the Le Mans museum and fan zone, shopping, and much more for a weekend of fun with the rumble of engines in the background.
