THE NEW MOTO GUZZI V7 WITH GCORSE RACING KIT IS SET TO MAKE ITS TRACK DEBUT. Launched at the start of 2021, the new Moto Guzzi V7 was an immediate hit with customers, quickly becoming one of Italy's top-selling bikes. The latest generation of the Mandello best-seller, equipped with the new 850 cc twin as well an updated chassis architecture, will be the star of the 2022 Trophy, promising even greater performance and enjoyment for all participants.
The equipment package that transforms the new Moto Guzzi V7 into the racing version (compulsory in order to participate and the same for everyone in order to ensure a level playing field and maximum fun) is developed, as always, at the skilled hands of the Guareschi brothers, veteran Moto Guzzi tuners who have created the GCorse Racing Kit dedicated to the new V7, drawing from valuable experience accumulated during the first three editions of the single-brand trophy.

The result is an even faster and higher performance bike with better frame and suspension qualities that make it more stable and precise. This increases both the performance and excitement on track, but the features which have made the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance so successful remain unchanged, making it possible for anyone to get into racing. The new V7 “Trofeo” is still easy, accessible, and suited to any rider.
In addition to safety devices such as the engine guard and front brake lever protection, the Kit includes a package of functional and aesthetic modifications. These include the top fairing, semi-handlebar, full exhaust system, raised footpegs, single seat, rear mudguard, number holder, front suspension cartridge kit and rear shocks. The equipment is rounded out with specific ECU mapping and a larger front brake disc, paired with dedicated brake pads. Added to which are those elements required for night racing, specifically a top fairing with housing for the headlight and a supplementary rear light.

The complete kit, which can be purchased at the Guareschi Moto dealership, costs 4,500 Euro (excluding VAT). The kit can either be assembled by teams themselves, or directly by Guareschi Moto. For details regarding the GCorse Racing Kit, contact info@guareschimoto.it

For all teams who register for the Trophy, Moto Guzzi will offer a special 500 Euro discount on the purchase of a new Moto Guzzi V7 Stone.

THE TRIED AND TESTED V7 III WILL ALSO TAKE TO THE TRACK, WITH A DEDICATED CLASSIFICATION. During the 2022 edition, riders will still be able to use the tried-and-true “racing” version of the Moto Guzzi V7 III, protagonist of the first three years of the single-brand championship and capable of astonishing with its agility, speed, and reliability.

An even easier and more accessible alternative for anyone wanting to have fun on the track or for those who want to get one more year out of the investment made in the previous seasons. Those who already possess a Moto Guzzi V7 III with GCorse Racing Kit need only adjust the bike with a 2022 update kit, available at a cost of 500 Euro excluding VAT, or 350 Euro excluding VAT if the motorcycle already has the necessary elements for night racing, made available in 2020.
Teams riding the Mandello “seven-fifty” will compete alongside everyone else, but they will have their own dedicated race and championship classification.
Last but not least, the invaluable collaboration with Pirelli is confirmed, the Italian manufacturer continuing as sole supplier of the Trophy in 2022. All the V7 machines on the grid will mount Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp RS, racing tyres developed specifically for the Moto Guzzi V7 and which have proven to perform extremely well in any condition.

RACING AT ITALY’S MOST APPEALING RACETRACKS: MUSELLO IS INCLUDED ON THE CALENDAR, MISANO WILL STAGE A NIGHT RACE. The new Moto Guzzi V7's track début is not the only significant change to the 2022 Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance. After a three-year period of continuous growth, which culminated with the recognition of the prestigious FIM European Cup title, assigned during Moto Guzzi's centennial year, the Eagle single-brand championship is ready for another significant step up in quality, scheduling rounds at four of the most spectacular and appealing tracks in Italy. “New entries” include the Cremona Circuit and the wonderfully undulating Mugello, a temple of speed for any motorcycling enthusiast.

The calendar features six “mini endurance” races, the first of which at Vallelunga on 14 and 15 May, where two 60-minute races will be held. This will be followed by the Cremona Circuit (17 July, 90 minutes) and Mugello (28 August, 75 minutes), before the grand finale plays out at Misano on 15 and 16 October. The first race on the shores of the Adriatic will start on Saturday evening and be held at night, the track illuminated by the floodlights as well as the V7 headlights, mounted only on this particular occasion. A new feature that will make the 2022 edition of the Trophy even more exclusive, offering all participants the chance to experience the kind of excitement that is usually reserved to only a few lucky riders - the chance to race at night. At Misano, the night race will have a duration of 90 minutes, whereas Sunday's “mini endurance” race will be 60 minutes long.

FRIENDSHIP, PASSION, FUN: RACING ACCORDING TO MOTO GUZZI. Participating in the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance championship is the most enjoyable way to discover your competitive side and get a taste of the great sense of belonging generated by the Moto Guzzi brand. In real “Guzzista” style, the format of the race weekends sees sporting competition injected into an extremely social atmosphere. Weekends in which to cultivate those feelings of friendship and sharing that have long characterised this, the healthiest of competitions, and that truly embody it. The race format and the choice of the Moto Guzzi V7 ensure that the Moto Guzzi Fast Endurance championship is enjoyable for everyone, from track novices all the way to the most seasoned racers.
Every race weekend includes two 20-minute timed practice sessions for every rider. The average of the best times achieved by the two riders on the team will determine the starting position of each team on the grid for the race, or both races in the case of a double-header weekend.
A clear throwback to the legendary endurance races of old is represented by the race start, which takes place in “Le Mans” style, in other words, with the bikes lined up on one side of the track and the riders having to cross the asphalt at the start to jump in the saddle and begin the race.
During the race, each rider can ride for no more than 15 minutes (plus 5 minutes to return to pit lane from the time the special “change” board is displayed). This means that the race is livened up by at least three or five rider changes on pit lane, depending on whether it is a 60, 75 or 90 minute race. Refuelling is not permitted. At the end of the race, points are awarded to the top 15 teams.
