PREVIEW – 40° EDITION

APRILIA TUAREG RACING READY FOR THE BAJA ARAGÓN, 26-28 JULY 2024: JACOPO CERUTTI AND FRANCESCO MONTANARI WILL BE AT THE START IN TERUEL

23 July 2024 - Aprilia Tuareg Racing tackles a new challenge, heading for Teruel, Spain from 26 to 28 July for the historic Baja Aragón competition which celebrates its fortieth edition in 2024. The Aprilia Tuareg bikes, developed in close collaboration with GCorse of the Guareschi brothers’, will participate in this rally raid for the first time with the goal of gaining experience in this type of competition and collecting as much data as possible ahead of the Motorally and the Africa Eco Race.

The Baja Aragón will be an interesting test bench for Jacopo Cerutti and Francesco Montanari, the only Italians participating, who will try to adapt to this rally raid over the three days of competition. The rally will be held on a flowing route with a hard and stony surface, starting with an 18 km prologue on Friday which will determine the starting order. The most demanding day will be Saturday, a 520 km stage, whereas the final 350 km stage will be held on Sunday.

JACOPO CERUTTI: "This is an exciting race with a vast following that I have always watched with interest. I like the terrain, it will undoubtedly be extremely demanding due to the heat, but I think that the bike will thrive in those conditions. This will be my first experience in this competition, and I hope to have fun and achieve a good result."

FRANCESCO MONTANARI: "Since this is our first time in this race, we don’t really know what to expect. We’ll have the chance to compete with high-level riders, including the ones who will be participating in the Dakar, so we are extremely motivated. I can’t wait to race so I can see our level."
