February 2023 (G.T.) – The message was posted on the Doğan Trend Automotive Group Instagram and Facebook profiles on 10 February. We are publishing it here in its entirety for our worldwide readership as a sign of solidarity and support to the importer from the Piaggio Group, as well as to its team, the dealers, the clients in Turkey, and, above all, to the people affected by the earthquake. This is the message: “We are deeply pained by the earthquake we experienced on 6 February 2023. First and foremost, we wish mercy on those who lost their lives in the earthquake, comfort to their relatives, and quick healing to the injured. Along with all the companies in our group, in coordination with Do ğan Holding, our support continues in five essential and fundamental areas, namely search-rescue, nutrition, shelter, communication, and fuel supply.

As Doğan Trend Automotive Group, we have supported the rescue efforts in the region from the first day of the earthquake, using all possible means, and we will continue to do so. With the crisis management team that we created in our company, we are prioritising the needs of the region’s emergency in a coordinated manner with our dealerships. We coordinate the assistance arriving from abroad, staying in constant contact with our international business partners and the brands that we represent.
This is why we have begun transferring our financial resources to the disaster area, taking a break from the communication and launch efforts of our brands. Furthermore, the employees of both Do ğan Trend Automotive and our dealerships continue their involvement in the disaster areas. Since it will take a long time for the injured to heal, we will continue our work, continuously transferring resources to the earthquake fund that we created to support the various needs. These are resources that will be provided continuously and in contact with the authorities.
We feel this pain that we are experiencing as a country profoundly and we hope that a disaster of this magnitude will never again occur.”
4 DAYS EARLIER… THE MOTO GUZZI V100 MANDELLO LAUNCH ON THE BANKS OF THE BOSPHORUS STRAIT. And for the record, we wish to mention the wonderful event organised by the importer, which took place just a few days before the earthquake. In fact, on 2 February 2022, the launch of the new Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello was held in a prestigious and beautiful location on the banks of the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul.
