21 October 2024 - Vespa celebrates its joy of living in the city that first made it an icon by dressing Rinascente Roma via del Tritone with its innovative and timeless style. A full take-over by the international icon of Italian style, bringing the empty space project, Vespa's lifestyle world, to the streets of the capital for the first time.
From 15 October to 4 November, the Rinascente façade in via del Tritone, the window displays, the internal atrium, the escalators and the entrances will host the Vespa universe with the brand's iconic two-wheeled models alongside its lifestyle clothing from the collections that mark its debut in the fashion world.
The seven window displays, created in collaboration with the London-based creative agency Alaska Alaska, embody the revolutionary spirit of the brand that has been able, in 80 years of history, to renew itself and revolutionize the way of moving and thinking from generation to generation. The seven installations explore the brand's timeless vision and values, testifying to the fact that the Vespa brand belongs more to the lifestyle world than to the world of mobility alone.
In the spaces on the second floor of Rinascente Roma via del Tritone, dedicated to genderless fashion collections, Vespa has set up the first pop-up dedicated to its winter capsule collection, presented here as a world premiere and which from 24 October will also be available online at theemptyspace.vespa.com
The winter capsule is the second chapter of the brand's venture in the fashion world, in continuity with Vespa's path of the exploration of new ideas, through different iterations all under the banner of innovation.
Vespa's winter capsule collection pays tribute to the theme of travel and change, embodying the brand's elegant and irreverent spirit of freedom. The collection draws inspiration from an iridescent play of tones ranging from glacial to pearl grey to optical white, mimicking its inspiration: the snowy winter landscape.
The minus one floor of Rinascente Roma via del Tritone hosts an exhibition that celebrates the relationship of Vespa's history with international cinema and, above all, with the actors who have marked the collective imagination by riding the roads all over the world in the saddle of this unrivalled symbol of Made in Italy. A visual journey, organized by Piaggio Foundation in collaboration with PromoCinema, which will accompany the nineteenth edition of Festa del Cinema di Roma (https://www.romacinemafest.it/en/rome-film-fest/) through the posters of unforgettable films from 1946 to the present day.
