25 November 2022 - The 7th edition of IDI-Italian Design Icons will be held in Shanghai from 25 to 27 November 2022: three days of exhibitions and discussions, workshops and activities dedicated to made in Italy design. The event, hosted in the exclusive Powerlong art Center art gallery, features around twenty internationally renowned Italian brands, including Vespa (Piaggio Group).
Theme of the event is "Re-generation: design and new technologies for a better and sustainable future". The initiative is supported by the Italian Consulate in Shanghai and by ICE-Italian Trade Agency for the promotion of Italian companies abroad (Ministry of Economic Development), along with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China and the Italy China Council Foundation.
Explain the organizers: “This 3-day exhibition will showcase a splendid collection of internationally acclaimed Italian brands, putting the spotlight on their innovative projects and products. Following the topic promoted by the Italian Design Day, an initiative launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, this year’s IDI Shanghai will focus on ‘Re-Generation: Design & New Technologies for a Sustainable and Better Future’, thus creating a precious opportunity for IDI’s Most Iconic Brands to show the contribution of Made in Italy in contrasting environmental challenges thanks to design and technological innovation. Italian Design Icons – Shanghai Edition 2022 will be open to the public and will be an inspiring occasion to celebrate design and new technologies, while also sharing knowledge across different industries thanks to a rich calendar of events including, panels discussions with renowned industry experts, workshops and B2B networking opportunities”.
