10 May 2021 - The Piaggio Museum, the largest Italian museum dedicated to the history and future of motorcycles, is also celebrating an extraordinary milestone reached by the legendary Vespa: a seventy-five-year-long history and 19 million units produced which, through 30 September, is celebrated with the exhibit “Vespizzatevi. 75 years of successes and restarts.”

PIAGGIO MUSEUM OFFICIAL VIDEO – “VESPIZZATEVI” EXHIBIT.

The exhibit, an extremely colourful explosion of more than 200 iconic images, celebrates the timeless spirit of Vespizzatevi, the slogan that constituted a true linguistic revolution in communication, creating a verb from the name Vespa, through photos and advertising campaigns taken from the vast and mainly never-before-seen material in the Piaggio Historical Archive.

It is through these images that Vespa produced a series of messages which stayed in the general public’s memory, a testament to the attention to the social fabric that only Vespa can afford, part of everyone’s daily life from the start, an object that accompanies personal memories and subjective adventures.

The exhibit space is arranged in six thematic sections, each of which hosts a particularly representative Vespa model, joined by the brand-new Vespa 75th special series (photo above) created to celebrate this landmark birthday and available only in 2021 for Vespa Primavera and Vespa GTS.

Also on display is the luminous work created by artist Marco Lodola, “Vespa 75”, a unique piece in Perspex and neon that enhances the iconic nature of Vespa.
